OUR HISTORY

Faith Deliverance Center, Incorporated was established under the leadership of Bishop Reverend Woodrow Wilson Ingram and organized to become incorporated in November 19, 1963. The church’s origin began at 909 Gates Avenue, and several years later under the leadership of Pastor and founder Reverend Woodrow Wilson Ingram the church acquired of 897 Gates Avenue and the adjoining the property which is the church’s current location.

In 1991 our beloved Bishop Woodrow Wilson Ingram transitioned to be with the Lord. He was succeeded by the late pastors Reverend Deborah M. Mitchell, Senior Pastor and Co Pastor Henry LaNorris Mitchell. Under their leadership they were able to fulfill the prophetic vision of Bishop Ingram of moving the sanctuary downstairs making the house of God assessable to all. It was under their leadership that several cell ministries were birthed within the local assemble, reaching and offering Christ to the young and old fortifying each in the congregation to grow in their personal relationship with God. Having a clear understanding that the advancement of the Kingdom of God could only be accomplished by continuing the work Jesus had begun in the earth, Pastor Deborah Mitchell embraced Christ’s mission a mission of love. Under the unction of the Holy Spirit Pastor was compelled to reestablish the purpose of our local assembly by amending the church’s name to Manifesting Jesus Ministries of the Faith Deliverance Center Inc., to publicly proclaim the work of the ministry.

After the transitioning of Senior Pastor Overseer Deborah Mitchell in July 2017, the church board elected Elder Flora Johnson as interim acting pastor and on September 8, 2019 she was officially installed as the senior pastor of Manifesting Jesus Ministries of the Faith Deliverance Center Inc., and serves alongside with Assistant Pastor Elder Dr. Ozella Winston-Prosper. MJM is currently in covenant with Dunamis Covenant Connection under the leadership of Archbishop Robert J. Rochford, Sr.
